1.Wk8_Medieval Times 1

During the middle Ages the Roman rule in Western Europe came to a fall.  This was also the time when tiny villages started forming and there was a subsequent change in the way of living. The middle Ages were divided into three periods the Early Middle Ages, High Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages. The peasant folks use to live in groups in villages. They worked hard to produce things and were self-dependent. The peasants toiled on land that provided them with food and other basic necessities of life. They used wood to construct their houses. Clothes were simple and ordinary, and usually made at home. The men worked hard, girls  assisted them in their tasks. Girls  had to do daily chores such as cooking and cleaning. They had a feudal system; it was the kings that enjoyed all the power and status. The poor managed their lives in cramped rooms; the rich had the best rooms of 3-4 bed rooms. By the 12th century, wood was replaced by stone.  Knights had to always be prepared for battles and maintain the best of physical fitness. Mothers had to  keep an eye  of her kids school.  For some, their diets were only comprised of grains and water. Vegetables or meat were added depending upon what was available. These common folks also toiled and gathered fruits and nuts in search of food. When the crops were good, they lived a fairly comfortable life. The rich on the other hand, gorged on a variety of meat for example Fish, birds, mutton and pork. Elaborate feasts were held during festive times.

  1. Sophia you pick a nice topic for your blog about its history of what they would do and how things work out for them and how they would construct there house with wood. It so weird how the romans rule in Western Europe and all of the sudden it came to a fall. Also how the girls from back then were in charge of the chores and it’s the same in today’s life that we girls have to do the chores in the house. Another thing that is true is how the rich have nice houses and some people do not and the same thing in the medieval time what I think is that we are repeating the same steps as in the medieval time. Well you did a nice job in your blogs and I like the way you decorated it too.
